چکیده

Introduction Contact lens wearing has been increased globally during recent decades, which is one of the main risk factors for developing microbial keratitis. Microbial keratitis a severe and dangerous condition that causes cornea inflammation. It can lead to corneal scarring perforation or even endophthalmitis visual loss if it remains untreated. Among bacterial, fungal, protozoal, viral agents cause keratitis, bacteria are most common cause. Therefore, in this study, we aim find causative bacteria, sensitivity, resistance antibiotics outcome antibiotic therapy contact lens-related bacterial Methods A systematic search was carried out PubMed/Medline, EMBASE, Web Science published studies medRxiv preprints up February 30, 2021, May 14, respectively. combination following keywords used: “Infection”, “Corneal infection”, “Keratitis”, “Microbial keratitis”, “Contact lens”, Also, used lenses” MeSH term. Lists references each selected article relevant review articles were hand-searched identify further studies. Results Twenty-six included.
